About Us

Irene Skolnick began her publishing career as Managing Editor of The Hudson Review and assisted in the early years of Parnassus: Poetry in Review.  While employed as Subsidiary Rights Director at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, she served at the National Endowment for Arts and Literature under Frank Conroy and was on the board of the Associated Writing Program.  She was a founding member of CLMP and opened her eponymous agency in 1994.  She is a member of the Association of Authors’ Representatives, PEN, and Women’s Media Group.  Her love of books has led to a life-long career in publishing.  She represents literary and up-market fiction, history, memoir, biography, YA, and middle grade.
