David Yezzi is the Executive Editor of The New Criterion and a former director of the Unterberg Poetry Center of the 92nd Street Y. He has contributed poems and criticism to The New York Times Book Review, The Times Literary Supplement, The Wall Street Journal, The Paris Review, The New Republic, Poetry, The Yale Review, Poetry Daily, and elsewhere. A former Stegner Fellow in poetry at Stanford University, he is the author of Azores (Swallow Press), a Slate magazine best book of the year, The Hidden Model (TriQuarterly), and Sad Is Eros (Aralia Press). He lives in New York City with his family.
