Collin is a brilliant artist who lives in the moment and supports himself by working in a local bar. His new girlfriend, Nina, is a passionate teacher filled with the love of Shakespeare. She understands Collin’s talent and knows that her father, founder of a video game empire, can help him. Aiden is a high school student obsesed with an elusive videogame avatar while his troubled sister, Diana, grapples with the aching confusion of becoming an adult. Here Allegra Goodman weaves a tapestry of emotional connection in which passion, family, creativity, and the complexities of human nature come alive as these four very different characters intersect in an exhilerating work of fiction.
